Hey! Here are some final shots of the Christmas cards in action! I was excited to see that scratch off worked! (woo hoo) The final touch was adding the penny. You know just in case there’s no change nearby when your recipient is ready to read your card. Can’t wait to get these in the mail!
Working on my Christmas cards! I think I might have bit off a little bit more than I could chew this year. Decided to make 60 (yes way to many…) cards each complete with a scratch off portion to showcase some fun wintery scenes!
First I drew the image, scanned it, and digitally colored it. Then I printed it!
The recipe for the scratch off I found online (thanks pinterest!). It was pretty easy! You cover the area you want to be the scratch off with clear contact paper. Then you paint on the scratch off solution, which is 1 part dish soap (yep! I used dawn) and 2 parts silver acrylic paint (really you could use any color though). Then let dry and repeat until your image is covered. Pretty easy!
I’m excited to send these bad boys out. Here’s hoping my family enjoys them as much as I do! I’ll post some more photos (better photos really) soon!
